JAMB Form Registration Period and Cost:
REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR UTME ONLY (Candidates are to have valid and functional personal e-mail address before commencing the process)
- The period of registration for UTME candidates, including those from Foreign Countries, is from Monday, 15 January 2024, to Monday, 26 February 2024.
- PIN vending for UTME commences on Monday, 8 January 2024, while it ends on Saturday, 24 February 2024.
REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR DIRECT ENTRY ONLY (Candidates are to have valid and functional personal e-mail address before commencing the process)
- Direct Entry application would commence from Wednesday, 28th February, to Thursday, 28th March 2024. Registration for DE would only be at the Board’s State and Zonal Offices.

Procedure for JAMB Form 2024 Registration.
Interested candidates are advised to read the information below carefully to be able to obtain their JAMB Registration form:
- Registration Fee is Three Thousand Five Hundred (N3, 500) Naira Additional Five Hundred (N500) Naira only, is paid to obtain the reading text “The Life Changer” by Khadija Abubakar Jali for both UTME Candidates and DE candidates and $20 for Candidates from the eight foreign centres.
- A CD containing JAMB eSyllabus, Brochure, and other vital materials is also given free.

On the 2024 registration platform, Candidates are to note that their 1st choice can be a College of Education, University, Innovative Enterprise Institutes, Polytechnics/Monotechnics, NDA (Nigerian Defence Academy) or Nigeria Police Academy.
2024 JAMB UTME General Entry Requirements
The general entry requirements for admission into the First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID) and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes are five (5) O’Level Credit passes, including English Language. In addition, credit in Mathematics is required for science-based and social science programmes.
The general entry requirements for admission into the First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID), and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programs in Universities, other degree-awarding Institutions, Monotechnics, Polytechnics, Innovation Enterprise Institutions and Colleges of Education are five (5) O’Level Credit passes including Mathematics and English Language.
Details are available in the Brochure, which would be given to each Candidate at the accredited CBT centres and JAMB State-Offices. It is also available for download at www.jamb.gov.ng and on Android Mobile App (JAMB IBASS) from the Google Play store.

JAMB Direct Entry Form Requirements
Please know that candidates for JAMB Direct Entry Form must have any of the following qualifications to be considered for admission through Direct Entry:
- A minimum of an O’Level credit pass in five (5) SSCE subjects at not more than two sittings with at least two prescribed subjects [for each program (course of study)] at Principal or Advanced level.
- Two passes (in prescribed subjects for each course of study) at the Advanced-Level Examination of IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB, or Institute of Baccalaureate with SSCE/GCE, NTS/NBC credits equivalents in three other subjects.
- Passes in two major subjects in the NCE with S.S.C.E., NTC/NBC credits, or equivalents in THREE other subjects (mainly for Education Courses) and ND.
- Minimum of lower credit grade in National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma and the O’Level requirements
DE CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THEIR JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS WITH WHICH THEY GAINED ADMISSION TO NCE/NID/DIPLOMA AND PREVIOUS DEGREE PROGRAMMES.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: CANDIDATES SHOULD NOT TAKE UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY AT THE SAME TIME. IF THEY APPLY THROUGH UTME AND LATER OBTAIN DE QUALIFICATION, THEY CAN UPGRADE THEIR UTME TO DIRECT ENTRY AT NO COST. Double/multiple registrations attract outright cancellation and prosecution.

Where & How to Obtain Jamb 2024 Registration Form – How to fill JAMB Form 2024– Step by Step Guide
Interested candidates are advised to follow the instruction below carefully to be able to obtain their JAMB UTME form:
A. JAMB REGISTRATION PROFILE CODE
UPDATED ON PROFILE CREATION: The examination body also raised concerns that candidates, in trying to generate their profiles, are sending their details wrongly to 55019.
Below is the right step to take, according to JAMB:
“The right process is to send the word “NIN” allow one space in between, then insert the eleven digits NIN number to 55019 e.g. NIN 00000000000. Any other process is wrong and would not generate the profile code for the candidate”
“It is also necessary for the candidate to know that only the SIM that is linked to his/her NIN can be used to send the NIN to 55019.”
- One Cell (mobile) number (SIM) can be used by one candidate only. The Cell phone number used for the text message is automatically tied to the Candidate’s name and will be used in all communications related to his/her 2022 Application, Examination/Admission. NOTE THE SIM-NUMBER USED. IT IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE FOR SUBSEQUENT COMMUNICATION
- Candidate sends his/her name [Surname First-Name Middle- Name (if any)] by text (SMS) to 55019. This should be a maximum of 38 characters + 2 spaces between names = 40 characters in all to 55019 e.g. Tinubu Adamu Odumegwu. Surname and first name are mandatory
- A Profile Code of 10 characters is received by the candidate on the same telephone (SIM) number
- The candidate presents the profile code to the point of procurement of form (Banks, MMOs, MFBs, Switches, USSD Partners). The form- ePIN is then sent as a text message to the candidate
- The candidate presents the ePIN at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre for registration
B. SELF HELP IN CASE OF MISTAKE/LOSS OF PROFILE CODE
- To correct a mistake in candidate’s name, send the [CORRECT Surname First-Name Middle-Name] to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number
- To retrieve a lost Profile Code, send [RESEND] to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number
- Candidate can reset lost or forgotten Profile Password on their registered cell phone by sending [password] space [email address] to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number
(FREE COMPLAINT) TICKETING: For ALL complaints on JAMB processes, candidates can create a support ticket at (support.jamb.gov.ng) with his/her email address registered on the Board’s site. The candidate then provides his/her name, phone number, and the nature of the issue selects a complaint area on a dropdown and then summarizes the nature of the complaint. He/she may also attach supporting documents (if available) then send them.

G. REGISTRATION PROCESS AT CBT CENTRES:
The candidate presents the ePIN at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre for completion of registration. The name of the candidate as typed by the candidate on his/her phone when registering the profile comes up automatically on the input of the e-PIN by the CBT center

H. GENERAL INFORMATION
- All candidates must mandatorily register their profiles through text messages as illustrated above before proceeding to buy the ePIN
- The registration fee is non-refundable
- As it is the practice, centers are allowed to charge not more than Seven Hundred Naira (₦700) only as registration Any center that charges more than Seven Hundred Naira (₦700) should be reported to JAMB for appropriate sanctions
- All CBT centers have been mandated to select any of the participating banks, MMOs, MFBs, etc. These financial institutions are to be present at the CBT centers for the purpose of collecting all No CBT center staff is allowed to conduct direct cash transaction with the candidates
- Candidates are advised to read and understand the guidelines on admission and instructions on how to complete the online registration before commencing the process of registration
- Multiple registrations are not Candidates who register more than once will be identified and disqualified
- Candidates should note that they are required to be present and take live photographs, which will be embossed on their result slips and admission letters. No scanned/stapled passport photograph is allowed
- Candidates are to note that irrespective of their choice of course of study, they will also be tested on a general text: “Sweet Sixteen” by Bolaji Abdullahi for UTME and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” by H. Mohammed for Direct Entry Candidates
- Candidates/Officials would not be allowed to enter into the examination center with a wristwatch, Phone, electronic device, or any pen/biro. The only common pencil is allowed

How to Recover Lost JAMB ePIN after Payment
If in any case you lost your ePin while during or after you purchase JAMB Registration form just follow the instruction below for how to recover your epin.
i. If ePIN is not Received or Lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] to 55019 for UTME or DE respectively from the unique number. The ePIN would then be retrieved and delivered on the candidate’s unique number
After successful payment and obtaining ePIN, candidate should proceed to any of the jamb accredited CBT centres to complete his/her registration
ii. In line with the Board’s regulated registration exercise, only the accredited Computer Based Test Centres and JAMB Offices will be allowed to register candidates
iii. Each candidate should visit any accredited CBT centre with his/her personal details, the profile, and evidence of payment.

How To Get NIN For JAMB 2024 Registration
Prospective candidates of the JAMB 2023 will have to link their applications to their National Identification Number (NIN). This is coming after the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the National Identification and Management Commission (NIMC) entered into a partnership to have the NIN as part of JAMB’s registration criteria.

What is a NIN?
The National Identification Number (NIN) is the unique number that identifies you as a Nigerian and is issued to you upon enrollment by NIMC (the National Identity Management Commission). It is used to match your biometric data and other details in the National Identity Database during verification and authentication.

Follow the guide below to obtain your NIN for JAMB Registration Form 2024:
- Walk into the NIN Enrolment Centre with a supporting document (see documents below).
- You will be issued an enrolment form to fill
- Applicant’s forms will be vetted by a NIMC Official to crosscheck the information filled on the form against the supporting document provided and to check for errors/mistake filled on the form.
- Your pre-filled information will be inputted on the NIMC Software by a NIMC enrolment officer or the Barcode slip will be scanned by the NIMC enrolment officer to populate all the required field.
- The enrolment officer will ask the Jamb candidate to double-check his/her information for errors using the applicant monitor.
- If the applicant is satisfied with his/her demographic information, the biometrics (ten fingerprints and facial image) of the applicant will be captured subsequently.
- A National Identification Number (NIN) Slip is issued to you after processing.
- This is what you need to apply for Jamb 2023.
How To I find Your JAMB NIN?
You will be given a slip containing your National Identification Number after registering NIN for JAMB Registration Form 2022. You can also check your NIN by dialling *346# on your Mobile phone. The service costs just N20.

JAMB Registration Update – Procedure for Foreign Countries.
Candidates who which to apply for the 2024 JAMB form should strictly ahead to the following JAMB Registration Procedure to be able to have a smooth registration process.
