1. MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Wellesley College
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is a $700 million global initiative to educate and develop next-generation leaders who will contribute to social and economic progress. The Program enables young people to complete quality secondary and tertiary education, and make successful transitions to further education or the workforce in their home regions. Over the next 10 years, the Program will select 15,000 Scholars, primarily from Africa, who will be unified by a common philosophy of change and ethical leadership.

2. MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Stanford University
The MasterCard Foundation will provide comprehensive support to 20 talented but economically disadvantaged students from Africa over the next eight years.
The program is designed to help students gain entry to secondary schools, as well as transition from secondary school to universities, and, ultimately, into the workforce. The Scholars Program will create a peer network of alumni who share a “give-back” ethos.

3. MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University (ASU)
As an American university ASU welcomes students from 136 countries around the world. Almost 9,000 international students call ASU home, making us a top 10 university in the U.S. for hosting students from other countries.
As part of this program, ASU will receive $27.5 million over the next seven years to provide academically talented, yet financially disadvantaged students from Africa, who are committed to giving back to their communities and countries, with access to high-quality education. The program will ultimately support 120 scholars at ASU.

4. MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at University of California, Berkeley
The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at University of California, Berkeley will provide holistic support to 113 students from Sub-Saharan Africa from 2012 to 2020. The scholars will pursue both undergraduate and professional master’s degrees.
The initiative will include a local Advisory Board to assist with creating and enhancing links between the Bay Area and African innovation hubs. Another element is an Alumni Impact Fund that will leverage the creativity within our own MCF Scholars community.
Level of Study: Undergraduate and Master’s degree

5. MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Michigan State University (MSU)
The MasterCard Foundation has partnered with Michigan State University USA to provide full … scholarships to undergraduate and master’s students from Sub-Saharan Africa. The university will receive $45 million in funding from the foundation to support 185 scholars throughout the nine-year program.

6. MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Duke University
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars at Duke University represent the intellect and energy of the youth of Sub-Saharan Africa. With a financial commitment of $13.5 million from The Mastercard Foundation, Duke will educate a total of 35 students over 10 years. The Class of 2022 will be the final class in this program.

7. Foreign Fulbright Student Program
The Fulbright Program are full scholarships in USA for international students who want to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree. The scholarships can also be awarded for non-degree postgraduate studies. The grant covers tuition fee, textbooks, airfare, a living stipend, and health insurance.
Level of Study: Master’s and PhD degree in fields including interdisciplinary ones except medical degree program or clinical medical research.

The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJWBGSP) Since 1987 offers 6–10 months of funding up to $25,000 to conduct PhD research. Applicants can apply for scholarships to one of the Participating Programs.

9. Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowships for International Students -USA
Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a non-degree program for experienced professionals interested in strengthening their leadership skills through a mutual exchange of knowledge and understanding about issues of common concern in the U.S. and the Fellows’ home countries.
The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program provides ten months of non-degree academic study and related professional experiences in the United States. Humphrey Fellows are selected based on their potential for leadership and their commitment to public service in either the public or the private sector.
