FG Approves NYSC Camps Reopening The Federal Government has given the approver of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to begin preparations for reopening of orientation camps nationwide where the National Youth Service Corps orientation exercises hold on November 10.

This was announced by the National Coordinator of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, Dr Sani Aliyu, during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday.

He stated that the NYSC authorities should consolidate on the safety protocols, and reopen orientation camps when the tertiary institutions open.

“We are in the process of developing strict guidelines to ensure there is no outbreak of Covid-19 when this process starts,” he said.

Dr Sani Aliyu also stated that the PTF is making arrangements to see that the private sector is allowed to determine the number of staff that will work, but in a safe environment.

You will recall that on March 18, the management of NYSC shut down the orientation course for 2020 Batch A Stream One in order to curtail the spread of coronavirus among corps members in the country.

Meanwhile, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has started posting 2020 Batch A Stream One corps member to their place of primary assignment and also the management is also putting things in place.

Its not yet clear when school resumption will take place in the country, but as soon as it drop will will update you.
