In a bid to combat the fight against the spread of Coronvirus also known as Covid-19. The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has donated packs of hand sanitizers to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba.
The hand sanitizers made of gel and solution formulations were produced by the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy and presented by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. (Mrs.) Glory Ajayi to the Chief Medical Director, LUTH, Prof. Chris Bode and the Management of the Hospital. The presentation was made on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS, the Management team and the entire University of Lagos community.

They are for use by frontline ‘warriors’ at the hospital and other members of staff caring for the COVID-19 patients.
Also present at the ceremony were: Director of Administration and Secretary to the Management Board, LUTH, Dr Babajide Grillo; Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, LUTH, Prof. Lanre Adeyemo; Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, LUTH, Dr. Deji Oluwole; Distinguished Prof. (Mrs.) Cecilia Igwilo; Prof. Olanrewaju Silva; Head, Department of Pharm. and Pharm.
