About University of Western Australia Global Excellence Scholarship
The University of Western Australia Global Excellence Scholarship is an annual scholarship program that is offered to certain categories of international scholars. The said categories of international students consist of undergraduates and postgraduate students who have accumulated a high level of achievements from selected countries across the world.
The assessment of the Scholarship is found by the applicant’s equivalent Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
Application Information and Guides
Application for the scholarship is only processed through the online portal which is on the school’s website. As such, there are absolutely no provisions made for E-MAIL, postal, or physical submission.
Interested applicants are hereby instructed to visit the official website of the scholarship to successfully process their applications. Once on the homepage of the website, there is a clickable command on the displayed page “Apply Now”. Once this link is selected, it directs to the first stage of the application process which is the selection of the preferred program.
But before going through the process, it is required that an account is opened on the website. Candidates should therefore click on the second “Apply Now” command. There will be a pop-up of the signup/login page. Select ‘Sign up”.
Afterwards, provide the required details. The first data is the “Given Name” which is the applicant’s first name. This is followed by the “Family Name” which is equivalent to the surname. Finally, provide your email address to which a link will be sent.
A confirmation of the link will provide the options to set a password on the website. With the password successfully set, the candidate could then proceed to log in to the site to continue with his or her application.
The first thing to be done would be to select the program one seeks to study. The next page requires one to select which region one is applying from. At the bottom of the page are the main application links. Below the “Start my Application” option are two links “Apply Direct to UWA” and “Apply via an agent”.
Choose any of these options according to your preferred route of application and proceed from there. For the first link, the application would be processed and submitted straight to the school. For the second one, the application would be processed and submitted by someone else on behalf of the applicant.
The major difference between the two is basically financial involvement. While the first option has no necessary costs, applying through an agent requires a fee. However, it gives an edge since such agents have a better understanding of the processes and the documents required.
The application is scheduled to close on the 23rd of July 2022 which has always been the closing date for the program year in and year out. The application here stated is the application for admission into the school. The scholarship does not have a separate admission process. Eligible candidates are automatically selected for the scholarship by the university.

To have a chance of meeting the selection requirements, applicants must have origins in the specified countries. The candidates, therefore, must be of the nationalities:

Benefits Of The University of Western Australia Global Excellence Scholarship
The University of Western Australia Global Excellence Scholarship is not a fully-funded program. In other words, it does not cover the entire academic expenses of awardees. So what structure does the scholarship package take? The scholarship is basically a tuition fee discount.
The discount ranges from AUD 36,000–to 48,000 within the study periods of three (3) or four (4) years for students studying for their first degree. For postgraduate students, the discount could go as high as AUD 24,000 for the duration of 2 years.
The school structures the scholarship such that the value of each package is determined by the proven performance levels of the students.
The scholarship is automatically awarded to those who are eligible based on ATAR/WAM requirements.
