About Joseph Ayo Babalola University.
Joseph Ayo Babalola University is licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria to operate as a faith-based Private University. It is located at Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State, along Ilesa-Akure Road Ikeji Arakeji provides a serene atmosphere for a scholarship. It is ideal for proper academic activities and character training, being reasonably removed from the corrupting influence of city life.
The university offers courses in the following colleges; Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Humanities, Law, Management Sciences, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. Due to its Christian foundations, male and female in the school are enjoined to adopt an extremely modest mode of dressing while on campus.
It was the first entrepreneurial university in Nigeria. It was established in 2004.
The first Chancellor of the university was His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Oladele Olashore (CON).
